The Foundation is dedicated to education that enhances critical thinking and understanding of science.
If you teach at any level – from grade school to college to continuing education – please send us material that you would like to share on critical/skeptical thinking and scientific inquiry. Teaching ideas that relate to paranormal or just plain weird claims are especially welcome, but any and all effective approaches to enhancing science education is appropriate. Our emphasis is on practical, tested ideas that will be of real use to parents and teachers. Email email@example.com to let us know.
The JREF will award up to $10,000 in academic scholarships. The scholarships, in amounts of $5000, $2500, $1500, and $1000, may be awarded to deserving students in potentially any field of study, at the graduate or undergraduate level. A committee composed of a physicist, a social scientist, a physician, and a very senior member of the staff of Scientific American magazine will select the winners, with the awards being announced on August 1.
