The specific publication referred to in my last posts is:

THRILLS & CHILLS

subtitled, "Scary Stories and Frightening Fun!" Though Scholastic will try
to get off this razor-blade by scoffing that none of their readers would
take it seriously, the material was presented seriously in a publication
distributed at U.S. schools by teachers. That's unforgiveable, I think.

Sorry I didn't specify which of Scholastic's publications this was. Their
others may be quite respectable.
