papers

Once again JREF is issuing a call for papers to those who would like to share their work or accomplishments at the sixth annual Amazing Meeting, June 19-22, 2008 in Las Vegas.

Anyone may submit a request to present a paper. If your proposal is accepted you will be allotted 20 minutes for your presentation and an additional 5 minutes for questions and comments from the audience.

Please email your completed proposal form to:
Prof. Ray Hall at rhall@csufresno.edu

or regular mail:

Department of Physics
California State University, Fresno
2345 E. San Ramon Ave. M/S MH 037
Fresno, CA 93740-8031

Or Fax: 559 278 7747

We will accept proposals until April 16, 2008 and we will notify the selected speakers before May 16, 2008.

Get your proposal form here: TAM6 Proposal [ MS Word format ]

Note that all selected presenters are responsible to pay for their own attendance including registration. JREF greatly appreciates your volunteer participation, but unfortunately cannot fund any part of your trip.

Relevant topics for papers include (but are not limited to): analysis of questionable claims, rational examination of claimed paranormal phenomena, ideas in critical thinking education, psychology of belief, or any of the usual topics found in Mr. Randi’s commentaries or that concern the JREF mission. For reference, here is a list of the papers presented at the previous Amazing Meetings.

Why isn't there a list of the papers that will be presented this TAM? Isn't it a bit late to be calling for entries when it's on this week? Who were the finalists?

Would also like TAM5 papers, if possible! :)
