You walked in a UFO parade with 6 other people! That is too funny!

Glad you got some of your cards out there and were able to talk to a reporter. What a clever way to get your message out there.

I think it is very important to be on your toes about what is current in the literature, otherwise they will just say, "you didn't read my book, how can you comment on it" which is true. Now you can tell them, "I read your book, now read Demon Haunted World and comment on that".

When I was 10 and at summer camp in NH I saw a UFO, for sure. I saw something in the sky I could not recognize. Though I had no skeptical training, I assumed from the start it was something from the nearby SAC base. It was so clear and obvious that I assumed from the start it cold not be something that was trying to keep secret, or even discreet. I never could identify the brass-colored object, nor did I make any real attempt to do so. Never lost any sleep over it.

That was before the Age of the Internets replaced the Age of Aquarius. Of course we all know that alien visits ended once they got a broadband connection and the alien ministry of invasion had to cut out manned (aliened?) missions to Earth to trim the budget. - COOL Skeptic

I read thebook, The Interrupted Journey, when I was a teenager. I got it when I was a member of the Science Fiction Book Club.

That says it all... to me at least. ;) - Willy K

"We all remember Betty and Barney Hill as the couple that was abducted by aliens, and "recovered" their memory of it via hypnosis. The doctor that treated the Hills always emphasized that he did not believe they had been abducted, but that they certainly did believe."

But...but... Doctor, they DIDN'T believe or even know about the damn thing until your hypnosis therapy "recovered" the memory for them. Are you saying that you enabled them to become deluded? Some therapy! - bosshog

That's my original hometown, where I was born and raised until I was almost 6. I'm not sure whether I should be disappointed that they had this festival or disappointed cause it sounds like it sucked. Never knew NH had a UFO history. Thanks for the story! - tempestbrewer
the couple that abducted by aliens
That sentence is a lot more interesting when you omit the "by" than when you insert the missing "were". I was like "wait, what?!" Unfortunately it's probably the second reading that's intended.
I wonder what the chances are that one day someone will wake up believing he abducts aliens in his sleep, rather than vice versa. - Crazy Glue
