Well, Popoff continues today his "miracle ministry" by offering debt removal via prayer (I suppose it's kind of a faith renewal in times of foreclosure) and lots of healing, "supernatural abundance", etc.

I suppose there's little one can do when people catch the vice. - aleCcowaN

When my sister and her husband went from couch potatoes to hard bodies, they were invited to be on Dr. Phil's talkshow by one of his producers. They wanted to do an episode on couples who've changed their lives for the better, and Shelia and her husband not only did that, but also opened to fitness centers to train others to get healthy. Her response was, "Not just no. HELL no." See, she'd been raised on Johnny Carson and knew that today's talk shows aren't about entertainment or helping people; they're about exploitation, and Dr. Phil does that to a tee. I've never been more proud of her. - SheldonHelms

Healing is real, but some healers are fake

This is yet again another negative outlook on Healing in the name of Jesus. This is sad, however there are genuine healing evangelists out there.
Whether fake or true, there is anyways a exchange of finance for faith to be release, but it shouldn't be done as a requirement, every situation should be looked upon separately and a method/ instruction should be given.
If you live in London, England, there is a genuine healing crusade on Friday 16th- Saturday 17th of November 2012 at Willesden New Testament Church of God, 179 high road, London, NW10 2SD - Alishabrownuk

Carson was a man of integrity

I think of all the talk-show hosts who welcome and showcase fraudulent psychics and scam artists (Montel Williams, in particular) and consider how fortunate is the American Public was that Johnny Carson, certainly the greatest host of them all, preferred to show the truth about such people rather than suck up to them for the sake of ratings. Of course, Carson had no need to boost his ratings with such tricks, but we should be grateful all the same for his choice of which side to be on. The Popoff exposure was one great moment; the Gellar exposure was another. - Mike Xeno

One of my mantras comes from Johnny Carson:

At the time I was struggling with trying to be a Mormon. One of the comments that I heard Johnny make was, "If you buy the set up, you'll buy the bit". A cathartic moment for sure..... I decided that not only did I not buy the Mormon bit.... the "set up" was also quite shaky.
