They wanted to do an episode on couples who've changed their lives for the better, and Shelia and her husband not only did that, but also opened to fitness centers to train others to get healthy. Her response was, "Not just no. HELL no." See, she'd been raised on Johnny Carson and knew that today's talk shows aren't about entertainment or helping people; they're about exploitation, and Dr. Phil does that to a tee. Of course, Carson had no need to boost his ratings with such tricks, but we should be grateful all the same for his choice of which side to be on.
