My little boy is 4 years old and the thing I love most is his questions. Some of the the most recent have been whats inside chicken, wood and metal, why do things float and sink, the why is there wind is a toughy I an going to have to refresh my knowledge on that one.

Hearing my little boy say molecules are in chicken to his Daddy was so cute. I always try to answer to the best of my knowledge if its something I'm not sure about I answer that I am using what I have learnt about the world to formulate an answer but it might not be entirely correct and we should check it out later.

When my poor brain can't take his questions anymore I let him know how much I love him asking about things but my brain needs a rest.

Its really cute when he formulates an idea and has used his observations and tells me I'm silly when I give him an answer to a question and it is different to the idea he has formulated , I let him have his ideas but provide him with things that test his theories of the world and challenges him to re-evaluate his thoughts. I love his inquiring mind and hope he never stops asking questions. - Chibi J

Kid asks his dad,"why is the sky blue?"
Dad: Sky? Well, because, um...don't know.
Kid: Where does rain come from?
Dad: Rain..from...um...don't know.
Kid: Why do things fall down instead of up?
Dad: Fall? Because...uh...stuck again.
Kid: I hope you don't mind so many questions.
Dad: Nah. It's the only way you'll learn. - skepticnj

My 1st-grade son doesn't ask so many questions about the universe anymore because he hates to have to listen to my long-winded response. It's all paid off in the end though.
