@Ernst,

Like I said previously the website , like you, is full of lies and unsupported statements. Whilst I appreciate that income is down since the scam of the ade651 broke, is that really the best you can do try and google juice the website. You have been panned all over the internet, not been back to Urban75 since they told you where to go have you?
Why don't you take your stick on a swivel and go for a long walk in a minefield, that should be the end of you.
If you don't quite understand that, to put it another way, Fuck Off and die. - Techowiz

Ernst why should you not have been able to find the site you work for the Romanian company that sells the ADE crap. The site is full of unsupported statements, such as the alleged working principle. Also as you know full well, they even allege that 'government agencies' have tested the ADE I have asked over 10 times now for you and the other avatars you post under to name those government agencies, mperhaps you can tell us now?
I see you threw your dummy out of the pram over on the UK skeps site, you must know by now that you will not be able to convince people you cannot bribe that the ADE can detect anything. Why is McCormick so scared of independent testing? We know the real answer what is your? - Techowiz

The ADE DOES NOT work on NQR, or any other principle. It takes a lot more than finding a principle used in explosives and then saying, 'that is how our device works'. You need to support the statement with scientific tests and reports from credible agencies. Interesting to note this device as wonderful as you say it is, is not used in the UK or the US the 2 countries engaged in the worlds trouble spots, strange that don;t you think?
Perhaps Ernst you can contact RANDI direct and take the $1M challenge and prove the rest of the world wrong, well Ernst are you going to go for it? Please list your excuses in order, if you can't think of any look at previous applicants for the challenge.
BTW ATSC refused to take the challenge for fear of exposure, so if the company themselves have no confidence in their own device why should anyone else?
Also, if you can find 1 yes just 1, credible report that the ADE651 ia anything but a scam, please post a link to it. Might have to wait a long time for that to happen. - Techowiz

The technologies used by ADE are Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance

The technologies used by ADE are Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance which has been used to detect landmines and explosives concealed in luggage all over the world with great success. NQR is a radiofrequency (RF) technique in which the observed frequencies depend on the interaction between the electric quadrupole moment of the nucleus and the electric field gradient generated at the nuclear site by external charges. All common high explosives contain 14 N, a quadrupolar nucleus generating three sets of resonance frequencies, providing an unequivocal method of detecting and identifying an explosive, as well as estimating its quantity and depth. Because of its high specificity there is little or no interference from other nitrogen-containing material that may be present - such as the mine casing or fertilizer in the soil.
The device is working and the man is not guilty - this is the only conclusion I can take. - ernst.filibert

Everybody can see this is only about McCormick which by the way was not declared by any court as guilty so he is still innocent. They don’t have proves against him and device so they try to put both in a bad position with mass media “help” which I don’t think is disinterested. - ernst.filibert

I live in Kettering, and I went round to 2250 Kettering Parkway to Cumberland Industries. They have nothing to do with security stuff, they make hydraulic access platforms and hydraulic repairs etc. they had a few access platforms parked in the car park. - bob-Ballard

Lets just plant some mines in some random field and I'll use the device to safely navigate my way through. ........Or not.

Your interest in the cause of truth is admirable, but look if you explode some device the ADE651 promoters will just say that you were too stressed and not relaxed enough and therefore it’s operator error. Now; are Iraq security checkpoints a place to relax?

I'm in Exeter, UK, and the first I heard of the ADE651 was last Friday, BBC TV.
The ADE651 is produced about 45 miles away. I am upset and embarrassed that some from my country should so fraudulently let us down in this way. Sorry, it's not my fault appears rather empty, but I could do my little bit and write to my Member of Parliament for Exeter asking him to deal with such fraudulent issues. There are many pseudoscientific fraudulent practices here so with this case lets run the issues.
Perhaps those from the UK who read this could do the same. With a general election coming shortly, who will stand against pseudoscience? Better to send a copy of the letter to all candidates for the election.

Further to my post of January 19th above check out below:

Oh no another bloody one,

David Vollmar formerly of Sniffex Plus, has now brought out another scam device, calling it the HEDD1.
Check out the link below:

The smell of easy money must be overpowering.
A verry happy Christmas to all and a wonderful new year, and let us see how difficult we can make life for the scammers next year.

Firstly to say thanks for republishing this challenge. However, as I pointed out last year, Cumberland is not the correct target. In fact we believe they were/are simply a front for ATSC who are the originators of the ADE 651, and lead by the delightful Jim McCormick.

If you want more detailed information please pm me and I will supply it.

Also great credit to Techowiz who has kept up a sustained campaign, as well as Lumpy Low, whose excellent blog has tracked this scam and others like it.

Some of you may have see the recent piece in the NYT by Rod Norland. This was picked up on by various media outlets in the UK, and it is great to see this getting more publicity.

I have also been involved, although not recently, in trying to gain wider exposure for these scams and succeeded in getting the UK MOD to demand Global Technical remove references to UK Govt/MOD support from their marketing materials. Gary Bolton previously marketed the MOLE with McCormick, but they fell out when McCormick and his U.S. Partner, Robert Balais f'ed up and had a test at Sandia labs which failed.

Anyhow, could go on, but as I say let me know if you want more info on this, and let's hope someone has the gumption to prosecute these fraudsters!! - Ricsuth

My proposed test of the ADE651 for the million-dollar prize would be: Conceal 100 pounds of high explosive -- much more than the minimum they claim is necessary -- in one of 12 containers. Ask a representative of the manufacturing company -- one thoroughly trained in the use of the device -- to determine by use of the ADE651, from a distance of only six feet -- much closer than the maximum distance from which they claim the thing works -- in which container the explosive is concealed. Repeat this test as many times as necessary, and win the prize. Simple? Yes, but THEY WILL NOT DO IT, despite the claim that they will...! - randi

OMG! A few years ago at LAX a security official 'wanded' my open suitcase. When I asked what that was for she said to detect explosive residue. At the time I assumed it did. Could it have been this device? Oh my.

LAX should be one of the most modern airports in the world, considering its location. However, you still end up sitting on the floor using what outlets you can find - usually the unused one by a single vending machine - and sitting on the floor half the time to use your computer. And to think how much the may have spent on fake wands! How about putting into some comfortable areas for computer users? Yikes. I hope I am wrong about the device I saw.

The Guildford Four were convicted of terrorism partly on the 'evidence' of tests showing they had handled explosives, that and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The argument against this was that the positive test for explosives was caused by the cellulose coating from playing cards the men had been handling. So I would say that false positives from everyday nitrocellulose have occurred in the past with serious consequences. - RobbieD
