And I see all the usual suspects are still here reading and reviewing the reviews that they think should not be published here.

Ms. Smith, your writing skills are great. Its just a real shamed that they're used to damage the integrity or an otherwise great website. Please put these articles somewhere else. If you can't find another website put them in your personal diary, where the one person who enjoys it can read it. - monstrmac1

Excellent point, Cuddy Joe. If I was the sort to edit an article after it had already been posted, I would switch the first 'to' in that sentence with 'and'.

Monstr, to my knowledge Rolling Stone doesn't run articles that are as terrible as mine sounds from your comment, but thanks. I really mean that. The idea you think my writing is decent enough to make it into a magazine with a circulation of 1.4 million and which interviewed John Lennon for hours is incredibly gratifying.

And though I do take the criticism gladly, I feel the need to make a single point about this...

Whether you think that I am biased toward Banachek or not (because he is associated with the JREF), please keep in mind neither he nor anyone else asked me to write this review. He was extremely helpful, and aware that I was writing it (as are all the cast members as well as the producer, and it's possible that if you type HELLO in a large enough font they will see it), but that is all.

@yeesh:

Yeesh!

This internet blog is not an academic journal. If after reading Alison's review you don't think Hoodwinked is for you, that's fine. I read the review and do think it's for me. Alison's reviews, like every piece that appears here, are subjective and are written to promote skepticism and critical thinking. Relax. It's okay. - Gravy

"However, this would not be one of my reviews if I didn't snarkily type in at least one controversial point to spark the flurry of enraged comments I have come to love so much (mostly for driving me more easily into the liquor bottle), so don't worry. We'll get there."

Yeesh, indeed. Oh goody, she's out to spark anger.

Another glaring example of how bad this segment has become. Also, its a huge conflict of interest reviewing a Banachek show since he's a noted Randi protege and this is Randi.org. I give 5 out of 5 stars when my 4 yr old son draws a picture but I don't think it would be as well received by an unbiased audience. It really saddens me to see this garbage damaging this great website every week. Its becoming clear that JREF means "James Randi Entertainment Foundation". Maybe Allison smith should send a resume to the Rolling Stone and stop degrading the foundation. It honestly hurts to read these poor excuses for articles, but I will continue to every week to make sure someone provides some sanity in their comments. - monstrmac1

D'Oh! Sorry, I always think that everyone who works for the JREF is in Fort Lauderdale, but obviously I should know better...

I do not live in Florida. And I travel quite a lot.

Great review, but which performance did you see? I thought you lived in Florida and I thought the show only played here in the Northeast...
