Reader Lisa Miller sends us to tinyurl.com/527zct to see an ad for yet another quack device that is being offered for sale, this time by Target Stores. She writes:
Today I came across an item for sale at Target that had me completely frightened for any newborn who might be born to parents either desperate or stupid enough to buy this junk.

Richard Wiseman is a psychology professor at Hertfordshire (UK) University and a dear friend of the JREF. He's also fascinated by the little quirks and weird things that happen in everyday life, and has made it his goal to study them. One such study, featured in the newspaper The Daily Mail (link: dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1054671), was to see how learning -- and performing -- magic tricks affected children's ability to learn in school.

A certain Vince Fenech, Evangelist pastor and director of the fully-licensed, state-approved “Accelerated Christian Academy Creationist institution” in Malta, has achieved a new level of fantasy that rivals most of what we encounter these days, even on the US political scene. Says this student of mythological science, dinosaurs helped build the pyramids of Egypt. This is a little-known aspect of archaeology, even as taught in Egypt or to Scientologists.

We’ve heard from reader Chris Wayne in Brisbane, Australia, who tipped us to this next item.
