Swift
Written by Jeffrey Wagg

I can't see the video until after the weekend - but someone please remind me who played 'Carlos'.

That hoax is high on my list of "All Time Greatest Hoaxes"; I'm looking forward to seeing those videos again.

I think Australia (and the USA) are crying out for a second round - but this time make it an Asian mystic - preferably Chinese; Indian would also do but I think woo-woo based on actual and made-up Chinese woo-woo is far more common in the "west".

More Exposures Required
written by StarTrekLivz, May 22, 2009
I think someone needs to take Popoff down again; not to mention Benny Hinn, "John of God." Sylvia, John Edwards, and James van Praagh (though the non-disclosure agreements they require could open the investigators to litigation -- that alone should be a sign that something crooked is going on, honest people don't need that kind of protection).

Shoot, we better just hope James Randi lives 100 more years, there's still lots of work for him.

John Edwards is already facing his comeuppance for paying his mistress from campaign funds. John Edward, however, ......

Carlos's alter ego is Jose Alvares. I had the pleasure of seeing "Carlos" in person at the first "The Amazing Meeting."

The misspelling was “phonemona,” not “phonemonon.” These funny little words occur when you’re very busy; you type too fast and you get your letters transposed or befuddled (as you just found out). It happens to me frequently—whenever I get my haywires crossed and forget to use Spell Check. Welcome to the club! smilies/grin.gif

Apologies to Gaylthacan

You were right--there were two misspellings, and one was "phonemonon." See, that's what I get for speeding along too fast - short circuited haywires, gut wrenching humiliation, and total embarrassment. Dangedgumit!smilies/tongue.gif

Yep, the misspellings were my fault, as usual. For the record, there is nospell check in this editor, which is frustrating. Still, there's no excuse. Mea culpa.

Jeff:

Hey - I misspell words all the time. And when I do it, it is usually in front of 20-25 high school students - with LONG memories!! smilies/cheesy.gif

Once I spelled 'misspelled' incorrectly on a work sheet. I have yet to live it down!

Hey Jeff, why not use Firefox, which has a built-in spell checker. Most any web form you're typing into will be checked as you type. Or, type up your entry in Word or OpenOffice before you post it...
