Suzanne Somers has been making a lot of noise lately about how conventional cancer treatment is a sham propped up by greedy practitioners, and the real cures are being hushed because there's no profit in them.

The people I know who have been cured of cancer though conventional treatments beg to differ. John Moore, a radio talk show host for NewsTalk 1010AM Toronto does more than beg: he demands.

Moore had Somers on as a guest, and for the first time, Somers was asked some hard questions. She didn't like it.

Rather than write up my own version of the tale, I present to you John Moore's well-written account.

The damage that Somers and other celebrity fools such as autism-activist Jenny Mc-Carthy are doing is inestimable. It is partly due to this kind of charlatanism that in the face of a global flu threat people are suddenly afraid of the same vaccine science that has saved mankind from polio, small pox and a host of other diseases.

I think you missed the point. Somers was complaining that the So Called Alternative Medicines were underfunded and struggled to find investors. "Big Pharma" is well funded, doesn't have that problem so it doesn't need his investment.

Eh? He countered her claims about survival rates, and pointed out the survival rates for the people she supports was 3 times worse.

Unless those cites cant be supported,Im not sure what you require as evidence.

Isn't MUCH more likely that the people purveying the sorts of treatments you advocate are bad-mouthing pharmaceutical companies and
medical workers - who, by the way conduct research and have a proven record of treating cancer - in order to get people to turn to them
for treatment, payment for which, enriches THEM?

My mum has survived breast cancer not once, but twice. And all thanks to appropriate treatment by conventional medical staff. Somers is talking absolute drivel - if my mother had gone for the treatment she is advocating, then I have NO doubt that she would not be here today. It's beyond me why people even give these "celebrities" an arena in which to promote their crackpot ideas. Though nothing much surprises me these days...

I suppose it's only a matter of time before tapes of "She's The Sheriff" are being used in police training colleges worldwide.
