Dr. Joseph Albietz

Joseph A. Albietz III, MD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado, Denver, specializing in Pediatric Critical Care.  He is fascinated by reality in general (especially when it has a strong geek factor), and offended by any attempt to distort, obfuscate, deny, or exploit our attempts to understand it.  His primary skeptical interest is protecting children from medical quackery, and preventing it from infiltrating our academic centers and medical schools.

Brian Dunning

Brian Dunning is the host and producer of the podcast Skeptoid: Critical Analysis of Pop Phenomena (skeptoid.com), applying critical thinking to paranormal and pseudoscientific subjects promoted by the mass media. He is also the author of a book by the same title. A Silicon Valley computer scientist by trade, Brian now uses new media to promote critical thinking in education.

Harriet Hall

Harriet Hall, MD, also known as The SkepDoc, is a retired Air Force flight surgeon and family physician who writes regularly for Skeptic, Skeptical Inquirer, www.sciencebasedmedicine.org and other skeptical publications. Dr. Phil Plait

Phil Plait is an astronomer, blogger, and president of the James Randi Educational Foundation. His website, Bad Astronomy,  won the Best Science Blog of the Year award in 2007, and his book Death from the Skies! is now in bookstores.

James Randi

Lecturer, author, and former stage magician James "The Amazing" Randi founded the James Randi Educational Foundation in 1996 to provide a resource on the paranormal, supernatural and the occult. A MacArthur Genius, Randi devotes his time to the promotion of critical thinking for the media, and anyone else interested in learning more about the proper way to explore these unusual topics. Richard Saunders

Richard Saunders is Vice President of Australian Skeptics and producer of "The Skeptic Zone Podcast" www.skepticzone.tv He delights in teaching critical thinking to children and was a guest speaker at TAM 6 and Dragon*Con 2008.

Alison Smith

Alison Smith is a retired private investigator, founder of Skeptical Analysis of the Paranormal Society, and research assistant for the James Randi Educational Foundation where she negotiates protocols for the One Million Dollar Paranormal Challenge.

Her work with SAPS has included presentations for the North Texas Skeptics, the DFW Ghost Hunters, the JREF's Amaz!ng Meeting, and Dragon*Con. She has also been published in eSkeptic, the JREF newsletter, the newsletter of the Secular Student Alliance, and interviewed on the Skepticality podcast, the Amateur Scientist podcast, and Darkness on the Edge of Town paranormal radio show, amongst others.

Karen Stollznow

Karen Stollznow is a researcher, writer and a paranormal investigator, of the skeptical kind. With a PhD in Linguistics, Karen has a particular interest in language-related paranormal and pseudoscientific phenomena, and owns the website Bad Language (www.bad-language.com)..

Jeff Wagg

Jeff Wagg is Communication and Outreach Manager of the James Randi Educational Foundation. While his daily duties have him battling server problems and exorcizing misbehaving computer hardware, he also combats uncritical thinking through writing, lectures and in the classroom.  Jeff also manages the JREF forum and has organized JREF events such as The Amaz!ng Meeting and Amaz!ng Adventure cruises (amazingmeeting.com).

Roy Zimmerman

Roy Zimmerman is a satrical and skeptical singer/songwriter who has performed at meetings of the Skeptic Society and entertained free-thinkers nationwide on his recent tour.
