This coming Friday, November 16, Larry King is hosting another hour of credulous guessing games with cold readers John Edward and James van Praagh. To make the show less painful, I developed a John Edward / James van PraaghBingo card. Check off a square for every lame cold-reading trick you note. I hope you find it amusing.
Actually there is another reason for doing this. It can help explain to believers what is really going on with these cold readers. From personal experience in doing this, I can say that if you explain in advance to believers what Edward and van Praagh are going to do, some can be convinced. Playing Bingo just adds to the fun.
Rosemary Hunter has applied for the JREF's Million Dollar Challenge with the extraordinary claim that she can make people urinate with the power of her mind.
Her protocol negotiations are complete, and Ms. Hunter will be visiting the JREF on November 12th to perform her test - which will consist of using this Paranormal Urination ability on Jeff Wagg, the JREF's General Manager.
Ms.Hunter will have fifteen minutes to complete the test, which you can witness live via webcam.
Rosemary Hunter came to the Foundation and had her preliminary test for the Million Dollar Paranormal Challenge. The test was conducted by Jeff Wagg who happens to be the General Manager of the JREF. The test was webcast in full and received a good number of viewers. We also taped the event on a separate camera for archiving puposes.
Prior to the test Rosemary was asked to sign the agreed upon protocol and was given further details on how the test would proceed. After agreement was made the test was underway. Rosemary looked calm and concentrated throughout the test never once opening her eyes the entire 15 minutes.
Our good friend Richard Saunders who a few weeks ago provided a great video on how to fold our very own Pigasus' has started a great series of adventures with our 4 legged friend "Adventures of Pigasus". One of our favorites so far is Episode 2 'Museum' in which Pigasus visits a Creation Museum. Richard's description of this episode:
'Museum' Pigasus discovers that not all Museums are the same or indeed even real museums
A clown named Callahan did some old-fashioned writhing about of the sort that such fakers as Anna Eva Faye and the ancient "mediums" performed to give the impression that they were "in touch" with the dead. First, there was no assurance that Callahan didn't use one of the dozens of methods available to mentalists to discover which of 100 objects had been chosen "randomly" to test a connection with someone named Raymond Hill. This, we were told, would somehow establish whether this dead person was "present" — as if that had anything to do with it. This sensitive "psychic" finally wriggled out a description of a rectangular something of "metal with four wheels" — the 3-letter word "car" would have taken much less sweat from both Mr. Hill and from Callahan — and then Callahan assured us all that he, too, was "a skeptic." Duh.
